About our Guest Speaker
Brent Lightsey is the founder of FirstLight BI & AI, and co creator of Argus PBI. Bringing 20+ years of
experience across software engineering, data architecture, and business strategy, he started his career as a hands
on programmer at Chesapeake Energy. After earning his MBA in 2016, Brent has spent the past ten years building and
scaling data and AI–focused companies that help organizations gain clarity, harmony, and speed from their
data.
FirstLight has partnered with more than 40 organizations to deliver end to end analytics and AI foundations across
nearly every major technology stack, blending deep technical expertise with real world business insight.
For an oil & gas start up, FirstLight created a unified, company wide data visualization platform for a rapidly
scaling startup — integrating drilling, production, safety, and finance into a single source of truth that
accelerated decision making and operational alignment.
Alongside his consulting work, Brent leads Argus PBI, a full tenant audit, governance, and monitoring platform for
Microsoft Fabric environments.
