• In conjunction with our 2017 Calgary Data Management Symposium, we will be hosting a Tradeshow. This tradeshow is an excellent way to showcase your products and services directly to our attendees. This year, we are shifting our Exhibitor Hall into the larger room, giving our Exhibitors better visibility and more access to attendees. We are also structuring our agenda to include sessions in the Exhibitor area - giving you more chances to interact with the attendees. We are planning fun activities for our Tradeshow Reception, along with a passport activity which will give attendees a chance to win tickets to the Telus Spark's 'Adults Night Out' by visiting our exhibitors.

• Exhibitors, please email events@ppdm.org for your exhibitor kits. The Show Information Package contains all the information about set up times, booth items, etc. so we highly recommend you read it.

Plan Your Trip

• The Calgary Data Management Symposium, Tradeshow & AGM will once again be returning to the Telus Spark Science Centre, located at 220 St. George's Drive NE,Calgary, AB, T2E 5T2. More information about the Telus Spark is available on their website: http://www.sparkscience.ca/

• A small room block has been set up at the Sandman Hotel, located right on the C-Train tracks for easy transport to the venue. The room block rate is $129/night plus taxes and this rate was available until October 1, 2017. The hotel is located at 888 7th Avenue SW, Calgary, Alberta. You can book your rooms directly by calling 1-800-SANDMAN or by email sales_citycentre@sandman.ca and quoting group number 829885.

• Free parking will be available at the Telus Spark during the Symposium. Please download the codes sheet to ensure you get the free parking rates - you will need to enter your license plate and codes to park. The Calgary Transit train (Saddletowne Train) can also be taken at a low cost to the 'Zoo' station, which is about a 10 minute walk from the facility - please note that payment will be required to travel to the Zoo Station of approximately $3.25CDN each trip. A transit map can be found at this link, and you can visit www.calgarytransit.com to find the schedules and plan your trip. Due to low usage in previous years, no shuttle will be organized for 2017.

• Beyond the networking opportunities during meals and breaks, this year the Symposium programming will include two networking receptions.

  The Welcome Reception will be an informal reception giving attendees a chance to catch up with each other in a more relaxed environment on October 23 before the sessions begin. This year, the Welcome Reception will take place in the Catch Restaurant located on the 2nd floor of the Hyatt Regency - located at 100 8th Avenue SE (please enter through the Catch Oyster Bar off of Stephen Avenue). The reception will take place between 5:00 and 7:00pm. We are currently looking for sponsor(s) for this reception, please contact events@ppdm.org if you are interested in more information.

  PPDM will continue tradition with the annual Tradeshow Reception at the Telus Spark on October 24, which gives attendees a chance to meet with the exhibitors and enjoy some social time with each other following the day of sessions and AGM. This year we are excited to give our attendees a 'Taste of Adults Night Only' with some fun interactive activities and a chance to win tickets to one of the Telus Spark Adults Night Only events.

• This year we will not be running the virtual attendance option.
