Janice Loseth, Director of Client Support with the
Ministry of the Economy (ECON)
will present a talk entitled
Driving the Bus While Building It: A PRIME Case Study
Implementing Oil and Gas Regulatory and Technology Change at Saskatchewan's Ministry of the Economy
Abstract: Back in 2009, the Ministry of the Economy (ECON) undertook the Process Renewal and Infrastructure Management Enhancements (PRIME) Program, a multi-year and multi-project initiative to modernize the Government of Saskatchewan’s oil and gas business and technology. This was no mere technology project; PRIME changed everything. From implementing portions of PPDM’s Canadian Well Identification System Standard to adopting an industry self-service model where oil and gas companies self-declare they’ve met specific regulations, it was a journey like no other. Join ECON’s Director of Client Support, Janice Loseth, as she shares what she’s learned about operationalizing a massive oil and gas regulatory and technology change, or as she puts it ‘driving the bus while building it.”
