Welcome to our Dallas Fort Worth Data Management Luncheon!
Coming soon, PPDM Association Speed Data-ing event are regular short one-hour virtual events designed to inform and educate the community, while also providing valuable virtual networking opportunities. Thank you to the Denver Leadership Team for coordinating this virtual event.
Andrew Bruce, CEO of Data Gumbo
will present a talk entitled
"What Does Blockchain Have To Do With Me?"
This discussion will aim at answering the following questions:
- What is blockchain?
- What does blockchain have to do with the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)?
- What are the governance and legal implications of blockchain?
- What are the data security implications?
- What does blockchain have to do with me?
Andrew Bruce founded Data Gumbo in 2016 after spotting an opportunity to eliminate a sizable cost inefficiency between an oil supermajor and one of its suppliers. Data Gumbo provides GumboNet™, the trusted transactional network that automates smart contracts and transactions for industry leaders using blockchain technology.
For businesses to trust transacting on a blockchain network, its data, smart contracts and ledgers must flow and function in a predictable, transparent and auditable way. Governance is one aspect that is critical to the effectiveness of distributed ledger technology, otherwise known as blockchain.
Data Gumbo’s network provides a customizable set of tools to gather specific data, write legally enforceable smart contracts, stores all raw data and results on the blocks, and publishes payments to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, putting businesses in the driver’s seat to enable efficiencies and capture cost-savings.
