This course serves two audiences: existing practitioners and new entrants. It helps practitioners demonstrate their credentials, identify gaps in their knowledge, and support their progression. New entrants gain the knowledge and skills needed to move into Data Management and demonstrate their commitment to the career path. The combination of modules allows development in technical understanding, service management, and governance.
Course Description:
This unique short course is the first of its kind in the world and was developed in collaboration with Common Data Access Ltd (CDA). The course provides you with the knowledge and skills necessary to be effective data managers and analysts in the energy industry. It brings together asset data management across multiple energy sectors, including wind, oil and gas, and nuclear. Students will learn how to collect, manage, and analyse data to inform strategic decisions and optimise operations in the energy sector. Upon completion of the course, students will have the tools and expertise to be leaders in the growing energy data management and analytics field.
The covers four modules – Energy Data Management, The Data Management Lifecycle, Data Analytics for Business Decision Making, and Data Quality and Governance.
