How to Become a Volunteer

Application Process

Once a potential volunteer has expressed their interest to a PPDM Association staff member, or to, they will be invited to participate in an in-person or virtual conversation to determine their suitability, qualifications, commitment and interest in a volunteer position.

Potential volunteers will be assisted, as required, in choosing a position most suited to their interests, skills, work experience and needs as well as the needs of PPDM. Once a potential volunteer’s application results in a positive recommendation, the new volunteer is notified of their acceptance to the volunteer program, and introduced to their supervising staff member.

The supervising staff member will reach out to the volunteer to begin transitioning them into their new role as soon as their membership has been confirmed, and they have completed and returned their signed Code of Ethics.
